Hydro-Dyne Reports Outstanding Screening Capture Ratio Results

Hydro-Dyne Engineering Inc. (HDE) is pleased to report outstanding test results for screenings capture ratio on its Hydro-Flo® center flow screens.
The HDE Hydro-Flo was submitted for testing by ThompsonRPM Ltd at the Chester Le Street National Screen Evaluation Facility (NSEF) in Northumbria, England. The 2 mm screen averaged a 93% screen capture ratio, while the 6 mm screen averaged an 84% respectively.
The NSEF was introduced in 1998 and has tested 40 screens from manufacturers in the UK, USA & Europe. The testing method they devised is now the only worldwide accepted technique from an independent source to compare screen styles when selecting which design best suits an application.
The Hydro-Flo screen will be on display in booth #5237 Hall A at WEFTEC 2011, October 17-19 in Los Angeles.

Central Davis Sewer Upgrade

Hydro-Dyne Engineering Inc. (HDE) recently upgraded the grit removal system at the Central Davis Sewer District in Kaysville, Utah.
Of the two existing grit traps installed at Central Davis in the 1990s, the drive system on one needed replacement. After a thorough analysis for cost efficiency and technical suitability, the solution provided was replacement of the entire grit mechanism with the Hydro-Dyne grit trap.
HDE has the unique in-house capability to custom design stainless steel components to retrofit within existing vortex grit removal chambers. This extends the life of the existing equipment, while saving time and money for the district.
